I finally went ahead and added ✨ homebrew capabilities ✨ to my first 3DS. I even went to buy a SD card reader for that. When I started looking into that, I planned to upgrade the 3DS but not the new 3DS XL but the process went fairly well, the new firmware acts a lot like the old one and nintendo is shutting down the DS eshop next month anyway so why not upgrade both?
