The original post was just UBI would be great for open source software and you barge in saying UBI won't help with fossil fuel. So what is your point? We shouldn't have UBI because in your opinion it won't help with fossil fuel?

There is no silver bullet. No solution will magically solve all the problems. UBI will provide some independence from capitalism. It won't help with climate change or hate crime or plenty bad stuff
