I bought the new lego RC car and it has a very different hub than the previous ones. To my understanding, since 2019 and model 42099, lego RC car have a hub that take 6 AA batteries and provides bluetooth plus control over up to 4 powered up brick, usually 3 motors.

The new model has an all in two hub. First instruction was to take the battery part and plug it in the motor part of the hub. It has not slot for powered up brick, 3 independent motors and 6 independent white led

the assembled model uses flexible translucent pieces to guide the led light to the front and back light, using red translucent tile to change the back led color
