@PatrickoftheG to me, this speak of two point.
The first is "help yourself and God will help you". If everything is as God want it, the three rescue attempts are both Got helping and humanity helping itself. Both are one and the same. It also means trans people transitioning is God helping them.
The second is Job. The whole book of Job is a big disclaimer. Some schmuck will get all the curses in the book. God will look how people react. They can help, see 1/ or they can biggot and hope God isn't
