@mloxton@med-mastodon.com I'm reading "solar power finance without the jargon" and at one point there is a financial device that's described as you give money to a bunch of company to build solar then you harvest money from them and the investor in the device get like 5% return which is like not much but honest pay for honest investing. That's how it started and still work in europe. In the US they promised 8% to 10%, over-extended themselves and now they are gone
